Sustainable Products Design & DevelopmentShepherd is committed to being a leader in the use of recyclable packaging materials and techniques. We can use 100% post consumer recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (RPET) for all of our clear packaging and are strong supporters of sustainable packaging solutions. Our designers can suggest and create for you packaging that uses less and thinner thermoformed material, Polylactic acid (PLA) material so that it can be naturally broken down in the environment. Packaging can also be designed so that it's easily broken apart, thus allowing greater ease for the customer to sort it into their local recycling program. Check out some of the examples in our Products page, like the Comb Honey Package. This package was designed not only as a retail package but throughout the entire process of producing the product.
