Thermoforming is a manufacturing process where a sheet of plastic is heated close to its melt point. It is then introduced to a forming die, where vacuum pressure draws the soft material against the detail on the form tool. The excess material is them trimmed away to reveal the finished part. A wide diversity of products can be created using thermoforming, including many which are currently being injection molded, blow molded or made from various metals.
To encompass the breadth of selection available, Shepherd Thermoforming and Packaging breaks down its products by market segments: Consumer Packaging, Material Handling and Other Products. Click on any category to see past examples that we have designed and manufactured.
