Automotive sound insulator

This automotive part was created using cross linked PE foam and a fibre material laminated together.  This was done during the forming operation to lower outsourcing costs.  The parts were also formed inline and trimmed using a contoured die to complete the part  in one pass through the machine.  The undercuts on the parts allowed them to snap into sheet metal openings in the vehicle.
